For the butters and wax, mango butter and bee’s wax are recommended whereas for liquid, almond oil, castor oil and avocado oil are recommended. Essential oils can be combined together to give the lip balm a unique smell. The most popular essential oils are tea tree oil, cinnamon, camphor, mints and ginger. However, care must be taken to avoid including citrus essential oils into your lip balm as this leads to photosensitive lips.
